Ingrid in seven pictures

Friday, waiting for the weekend to begin

Alde as a Easter-witch last weekend. A Swedish tradition for the kids.

It has been Easter and the kids are home from preschool on Easter holidays. For a week and a half we've spent time together, as a family and with friends. Even though it is great to hang out with them they get a little bored and I am so happy it's friday today so that the weekend soon will begin and so that we will be two parents in the house.
Anyway, yesterday I packed the kids in the car and drove to a big zoo about 50 km south of our city. It's quite a challenge to do something like that with all three of them but it turned out to be a fantastic and joyful day. It's just so bad I forgot the camera at home.
Anyway, today we just hang around in the house. Do a little cleaning (me), do som more mess (Eskil), go on about want to see a friend (Alde) and don't want to do anything except hanging on mamas arms (Ingrid). The sun is shining and soon we will take a walk to meet dad and then I will get some time alone, out running before dinner.

Happy friday!

From where I stand - watching my oldest playing with the iPad.

And there you are!

No, it's not another baby on the way. Need to work on those crunches....

Books all over the place, and no time to read them.

The tulips we got from friends almost a week ago still remains.

Books on our coffee-table, hope to find time to read them soon.

I did however find the time to make lunch.

Cold and sunny sunday

This year seems to be remembered as the year when spring never came. I swear, we have had snow outside our house since November and it doesn't seem to melt away. Ever. I feel like I want to arrange a cheerleading show with the kids and just "give me a S, give me a P, give me a R, give me an I, give me a N and give me a G. S-P-R-I-N-G. If it would work I would do it right away!

Anyway, today it's sunday and a beautiful but somewhat cold and windy one. I got a loooong sleeping morning, breakfast in bed (thanx love!) and then we packed the family into the car and drove down to the harbour. The plan was to feed the ducks with old bread but the ducks seemed to be more wise than we thought and they had found themselves a less windy spot to hang on. The kids were a bit cranky about the missing ducks but we took a walk along the waterside, looking over the frozen bay and making plans and dreams for the future. Hanging out with my family, I just love it!

My beloved ones!

Right there, over at the other side of the bay is my kids preschool!

If I would like one of those houses? Oh yes, that will work for me!
Now the house is kinda quiet since Andreas and Eskil is away at his first birthdayparty (how cute is that!), Alde is hanging out at her best friends house and Ingrid is asleep. Or wait, was asleep. Not anymore and I guess that book will have to wait another day.
Have a great sunday wherever you are!

Just another saturday in March

This saturday started with just hanging out around the house. I got to sleep a bit longer and got breakfast in bed with daddys newly-baked sourdough bread. Yummi!
Then the kids were out playing in the street with friends, chilling in the sofa with the Ipad and having some youghurt for lunch.
When the kids started to get cranky I took out the big roll of newsprint direct from the press and we made two natural-sized children. The crayons came forward and so it was all fun again.
And the fun continued since grandma and grandpa came along, and so did my brother, his wife-to-be and their cute mops. We celebrated Andreas upcoming birthday and Alde got to draw with her uncle, who can draw almost anything on comission. And then, we ate pulled pork togehter with homemade guacamole and lot's of other stuff and it was soooo good, my gosh what we ate! For dessert I had made a rhubarb pie, totally unnecessare it turned out, since everyone was so full from the pulled pork. My oh my, was that delicious or not!
A perfect saturday and a lots of pictures!

Welcome

So I'm doing it. Starting a new blog, yet again. Anyway, if I'd get a ten bucks for each diary I have started I would be a millionaire by now - this is just a cheaper way of doing it. Restart, I mean.

What about me then? Mother of three little ones, living in a small town in Sweden, married to Andreas. Works as a journalist, love interior and DIY and nordic design. Also to bake, especially bread, travelling to bigger cities and to spend time with my family. I have the privililege to be married to my best friend and the joyful mornings in our house is those we are all staying at home together, with our minds open for a new, great day.

Welcome to my blog!
